Thanks for taking the time to join us at F&O! and especially for reading this and finding out a little bit more about what makes us tick. Hi, we are Chris and Sara Bain and I guess what landed us here is that being in the outdoors is at the very core of who we are and its what we want most for our family.

We are both avid fisho's, we love camping, travelling and Chris has always been an avid hunter after growing up on dairy farms in New Zealand and Australia.

Sara has a very successful career in real estate, and often times you'll find a rod snuck into the back of her car ready for a quick flick off the wharf after a beach front open home.

Chris has just exited a long career in the agricultural industry, but prior to this managed several fishing tackle stores in Australia as well as a chain of camping stores.

The opportunity came up recently to acquire Fishing & Outdoors and we jumped at the chance, and now after a big brand refresh we are ready to mix and mingle with the amazing outdoor community we have here in New Zealand.

While its early days, we plan to be super active in the community, especially with introducing kids to the outdoor life. We know there are plenty of challenges for mums and dads new to the popular outdoor pursuits like fishing, to know where to start so we have every intention of lowering this barrier to entry and also offer opportunities to get involved for those with disabilities or are disadvantaged.

We are super keen to add to our product range, with our two focuses being having fun and getting new people involved in the outdoors.

We also want more collaboration, we are going to encourage you to get involved, send in your stories, share your photos and inspire other people out there so get outside and experience everything New Zealand has to offer.
